Traditional Dining at French eatery Otto’s

We all like fine dining, the frills, bows, and fireworks that come with it but at times heading to a restaurant, getting what you ordered and feeling like you’re at home with your feet up is a big moment.

Otto’s restaurant located at 182 Gray’s Inn Road, London WC1  is an old-school French eatery run by restauranter Otto Tepasse. When you walk into Otto’s you might be thrown by the clash of interior furnishing or even the high roars of laughter but when you leave you will be asking yourself ‘why you’ve never been?’.

While we could go on and tell you all about the exquisite culinary dishes on offer, from the signature flambeed or pressed duck from the silver duck press taking pride of place on the mantle, the tender guinea fowl and beetroot sauce or even the slow braised hare stuffed with foie gras, red cabbage and truffle sauce but the true pièce de résistance of Otto’s is Otto.  He has taken his knowledge and has become the main event and the reason we think it’s worth traveling to, not just the trademark sauce, a reduction of duck stock, cognac, red wine, port, orange peel and sugar.

Otto’s still serves up personality, passion and good ole-fine dishes with heart. The Menu is classic and the wine and cocktail list are vast and bespoke. As soon you enter, walk the floors, you feel the passion of the man at the spear of this home-away-from-home dining house.
