The Piano Works is a basement bar situated in a Victorian listed landmark in Farringdon, London. The Piano works offers live music, great cocktails run by expert cocktail maker and operations director Tristan Moffat, alongside honest food.
When we first heard about The Piano Works we thought quaint corner bar with piano and live band, think again. This is probably one of the best but loudest nights you can have in London. With the musicians taking song requests from the crowd on napkins, this basement gem offers you a big night out full of drinking, laughing and dancing.
We walked in on the band playing Bon Jovi and left hearing, Whitney, Elton John, Glee and Beyoncé so there is no limit of what can be heard here and all in their on the spot renditions. The Piano Works is probably not somewhere you would want to have dinner plans with all that’s going on and it can get very busy with customers stood closely around you.
Although the food is honest and hearty offering Steak Mains a great selection of classic starters (we recommend bruschetta or their roasted pecan salad) and choice of 4 desserts. A chocolate, a cheese cake, their Panna cotta with raspberry and honeycomb and Brazilian Lime Sorbet. The Piano Works is best for a group night out than a quiet dinner date.
The piano works we say is a bar you must visit at least once, grab a sharing plate, hit the dance floor and request a few karaoke jams.
