The Dylan Amsterdam Unveils New “Amber” Collection Guest Rooms

The Dylan Amsterdam, one of Amsterdam’s most elegant boutique retreat introduces the new Amber Collection of guest rooms designed by the highly-regarded Dutch architect, Paul Linse of Studio Linse fame.  Working in close collaboration with the hotel, Linse has lovingly restyled 14 existing guest rooms to perfectly complement the current Loft, Loxura, and Serendipity room types.

Studio Linse has a long-standing relationship with The Dylan, having designed popular local hotspot, Bar Brasserie OCCO in 2016.  Inspired by the precious gemstone itself-which has been appreciated for its healing properties since Neolithic times- the stylish new rooms which overlook the hotel’s secluded garden feature a warming palate of amber tones present throughout the soft furnishings.

Located in the historic part of the hotel building dating back to the seventeenth century, the Amber Collection rooms feature beautiful original features including carefully restored brickwork, wooden beams, and original ceilings, all of which have been integrated into the new design. Linse has seamlessly blended the ‘old and the new’ and commissioned a number of custom-made contemporary pieces crafted from a variety of luxurious materials including marble, wood and antique brass, all with a distinctly retro feel.
