Thai Square, Covent Garden

Contemporary Thai chain restaurant Thai Square has several London homes across the city. From its Trafalgar Square flagship to the Covent Garden branch in the heart of London’s West End. From the site, Thai Square describe their service ” Our awarding winning Thai Restaurant is located in the heart of London’s main theatre district and we are well-known for serving the most authentic and appetising Thai cuisine in London.” and we don’t disagree.

What we loved about Thai Square, Covent Garden was its ambience. The chilled but characteristic setting offers immersive Asian cool while mixing in tradition and European charm.  The dining room is filled with Thai artefacts, statuettes, ornaments and a faux pagoda roofing.

The dining room has just launched their cocktail menu, serving up the tropics and a little bit of Asia alongside it’s refined menu. From its Aromatic Duck (for a minimum of 2 people), traditional curries and excellent service.  This really is a location for the group. We found it wasn’t as intimate as we would like if you were planning a date night, but its late opening times makes it a great bridge between the pre-drinks and the after party.

Thai Square is located at 166-170 Shaftesbury Ave, London WC2H 8JB and can be booked here.
