Stoke Place hotel: Hotel Luxe in South Buckinghamshire

While the idea of a country break can be a daunting one for any city hipster there is still something very magical about being surrounded by trees, lakes and beautiful grounds.

On our visit to the Stoke Place hotel in South Buckinghamshire, we were offered just that, country luxuries and views just 30 minutes or 20 miles from London City Centre. While Stoke place traditionally advertised for corporate functions, events and a wedding venue there is still something very romantic and personal about this grand private school turned country house hotel.

Set across 26 acres of beautifully serene, capability brown landscaped parkland complete with its own lake, Stoke Place is a stunning grade II listed 17th Century Queen Anne mansion house with all the charm and rural tranquility of a countryside location that is just minutes outside the M25.

For those looking for a Luxury hotel with all the high-tech trimmings, this might not the best option. Whilst Stoke Place is picturesque, rooms are charming they are simple. Hard Wood spans across all surfaces accented by velvets and rococo styled prints. The hotel does also can offer on-site in-room treatments.

Stoke Place does come equipped, from its ‘Butterfly Bar’ offering drinks, cocktails and a bar menu for fast casual dining but also the on-site restaurant ‘The King and Lamb’ which has recently received renovation, offering hearty quality foods and flavours, true to the British countryside.

If you’re seeking somewhere to unwind and let go, whilst not jumping too far from the city, Stoke Place is perfection. Rooms run from £70 per night in low season and whole property bookings can be arranged via the brand Website.

Located at Stoke Green, Slough SL2 4HT, UK and can be booked here
