Review: Sir Adam Hotel [Amsterdam, Netherlands]

A stone throw from Amsterdam’s Main station, across the IJ River, boutique hotel and hipster hangout, The Sir Adam Hotel located in the Iconic A’DAM Tower is one of Amsterdam’s newest residents but defiantly already a community staple.

Arrived via ferry running every 5 mins between the main station and the other side of the IJ River, Sir Adam focusses on the culture and community in the city and around it. Not just a luxury boutique hotel offering 107 sleek guest room interiors with all the trimmings, Sir Adam acts like a private members club offering concept store, lounge area, The Hub [allowing local and creative visitors a space to meet and creatively exchange], a gamers corner and a music library of vinyls free to play on the turntables in your room.

The interiors designed by award-winning New York-based innovation and design studio ICRAVE, create a free-spirited atmosphere that plays host to lifestyle travelers and locals in a curated environment full of music and art— ensuring Sir Adam is set to become the new cultural centre in town.

Committed to giving back Sir Adam Amsterdam, is owning its responsibility, whilst retailing a vast selection of Dutch independent labels and home brands in support of the community and Dutch design, but also offering guests a selection of curated and handpicked experiences with independent business and people in mind. Guests are able to choose from doing a range of activities from art tours, boat rides to even getting a crash course in the art of rolling your own perfect joint.

For those willing to dive into the vibrant Sir Adam culture here, you must do live karaoke in its state of the art Disco and Karaoke lifts, equipped with light-up dance floor and microphones. All details are considered here, from its exceptionally attentive desk service, of young and vibrant staff that really set the standard for what to expect.

Sir Adam is an exceptional community-conscious boutique hotel, not just adding value to its lifestyle travelers but also its responsibility to the community and tomorrow.
