Mathieu Pacaud’s Histoires Restaurant is a 2 Michelin star eatery as of 2016. This Restaurant within a restaurant is the second brain child of Mathieu Pacaud along with Hexagone who holds 1 Michelin star and resides in Paris’ 16th arrondissement, not far from the Jardins du Trocadéro.
Don’t be worried if you’re a little lost, the first thing you should know is Histoires lays behind a hidden door through the Hexagone bar. Once you’ve made your way through the doors you are met with the Histoires intimate dining room designed by architects, Gilles & Boissier.
Sitting 6 tables and only 12 people a night. We opted for an 8pm reservation which on arrival was a little early for this Parisian crowd.
Histoires – which is French for ‘stories’ menu comprises of only 12 dishes and includes elaborate dishes from Ceviche in a fresh fennel, Crispy with a green apple reduction, followed by the Sole de petit bateau: Fresh almonds and apricots mix with yellow wine sauce from Arbois. With no disappointed we opted for the assortment of desserts to really capture the element of sweet.
What great about Histoires is that there is a never ending amount of amuse bouches, secret surprises and endless complimentary dishes that work great with their selection of fine wines and champagnes.
This is pure heaven. To Book Head here.
