This month sees the grand opening of independent pizzeria, Zia Lucia, a new local restaurant in Brook Green, following on from the launch of the first Zia Lucia in Islington in 2016, founders Claudio Vescovo and Gianluca D’Angelo are bringing their authentic Italian neighbourhood pizzeria to this leafy part of West London, an area close to their hearts.
Zia Lucia’s will bring unusual 48-hour slow-fermented doughs, delectable toppings and Italian community flair to West London. For the launch month, Zia Lucia will add a limited edition, green vegetable dough to the menu. Named after their new neighborhood, the ‘Brook Green Dough’ will be a healthy winter addition to a constantly evolving pizza selection, with playful and experimental doughs frequently added by Zia Lucia’s creative pizzaioli.
Maintaining its ethos of great value genuine Italian food, all wood-fired pizzas at Zia Lucia Brook Green will be priced from £7-£11 and will feature fresh, classic Italian toppings and will be available on the four types of dough (traditional white flour, earthy wholemeal, crisp gluten free and a dramatic vegetable charcoal black base). Toppings range from irresistible Italian favourites such as fiery nduja, spicy spianata salami, truffle honey, burrata, rich gorgonzola and vegan butternut squash cream.
