We left Amsterdam with a new saying. ” For the Love on Ink”. We we’re invited to review one of Amsterdam most creatively stylish luxury boutique hotels. When we first heard about Ink and then saw images we thought about Amsterdam and it’s young heart, accepting nature and signature style and visiting Ink you saw all this.
Ink Mgallery Collection
is a stone’s throw away from Madame Tussaud’s, the Multatuli Museum and Kalverstraat, keeping you centre to the madness that is Dam. The lobby of the hotel gave you instantly and understanding of what the Mgallery hotel was about. As the former home of the Dutch newspaper ‘De Tijd’, The Ink building was a place where stories were conceived, written and ultimately brought to life in ink and the stamped 3D typeface walls made you aware, Ink was a hotel ready to be discovered and stand alone.

As the FG do we didn’t stick to time and ended up in Amsterdam a lot earlier than predicted. Greeted by the hotel Manager this was no issue, we had checked-in and made our way to our room hours before regular check-in. So for that we that Ink for sorting our room out for us.

We were greeted in our room with complimentary drinks and there were chocolates, they were too good not to eat quickly and the photo came after. The room kept signature to the style and feel of the hotel. The walls filled with ink , like each visitor left one piece of significant fact behind, but when you looked at the big picture Mgallery was handing you the key to city. It was a map, written in witty verse and fun pun’s which gave you an idea of where to go, and what great facts about the city you can learn without even leaving your hotel room.

We stayed 4 nights as a couple and was booked into a luxury Deluxe room, when it came to sleeping there was no limit on space. The bed made for a great sleep and was a true king size offering those messy sleepers that space to roll about. We loved our room, the atmosphere and particularly the bar. Not just because of the INK-redible cocktails , and believe me they are great, but the young staff offered a great sense of fun to a very classic surrounding. The breakfast area turned dinner/ bar played an eclectic selection of sounds that made you ready to see what the night-life was about, We heard great pop, R&B jamz that really kept the balance and expectations high of INK.

The Details :

All in All, The INK Hotel was fantastic! Not only was the staff great, they offered us their suggestions on sightseeing and restaurant recommendations were perfect! From the welcome cookies in our room upon arrival, to the creative decor and emphasis on the building’s prior history of being a newspaper hub, to the excellent location close to all the sights, the INK Hotel really delivers excellence.
