Dinner at The White Room, Amsterdam, Netherlands

The White Room, right solely named is the luxury dining room of the adjacent NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. On first glance, you are taken back by the 1885 white and gold dining room with elegant finishings and modern charm. The tables are precisely spaced to offer each dining group or couple the balance of privacy and intimate dining, whilst not to disturb the flow of the room itself.

This Austrian palace-styled restaurant is headed up by chef Jacob-Jan Boerma who served us up an aquatic menu of fresh catch and seasonal pairings from cod with tomatoes, chlorophyll, and miso to his synchronous time updates on crab, paired with beetroot and watermelon. The food is outstanding and this already impressive menu is supported by its just as impressive wine pairing. A rich offering of fine Germany and French wines help ignite Boerma’s ingredients from his perfectly spiced fish to the granny smith trio dessert, helping solidify the thoughts and relationship between food and beverage.

This a true dress-up attire scenery, but walking in off the hipster streets of Amsterdam, The White Room can’t also deny its cool undertone. The price really does relate to its food offering, from Lunch £38, Menu £65/105 and Carte at approx. £95 per person.

Booking is essential for dinner and The White Room can be located at Dam 9, 1012 JS Amsterdam, Netherlands. Book Here.
