First of all thanks so much for sitting down with us, tell us a little bit about your upbringing and musical background?
I grew up listening to great artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and all 80s and 90s pop hits. My father used to be in this band called Captain Cocktail and he would take me to his jam sessions every now and then. That is when I first learned I wanted to become a musician. My brother introduced me to my first DAW (Fruity Loops) and I started messing around with it until I understood what I was doing. That all developed into recording my own vocals and so on.
Describe your sound in three words?
Melody matters most
Tell us more about your new single I’m Alright?
I wrote this with my cowriter Rik right after we were both pretty much ready to call it a day and go home. I am happy we stayed that day. This sound really shows a mixture of some of my influences.
We see you’re a bit of foodie and traveler tell us which city best represents you?
I think I would have to say Amsterdam. It is home. It’s where I learned everything. And we’ve got the cheese.
