Berlin based producer Beckett presents Visuals for “Butterflies”

When new music enters our orbit, we are suckers for a good beat and the word must spread. Last month saw Berlin-based producer Beckett present his new track “Butterflies ft. Montreal songstress Claire Ridgely. In his first debut, the producer revealed a lyrics based visual to introduce us to the track and the incredible vocals, Today sees the official full-length video hit the web directed by Fabian Podeszwa.

Prior to its video release, we caught up with Claire who said via email “Working with the Butterflies team has been a real treat. Beckett made an amazing track and director Fabian Podeszwa(Fabi), a killer visual to match. I remember being in the booth on the first day of recording and trying to convey a certain feeling in the way I pronounced the words, in my tone, harmonies, etc. Fabi honed in on that vibe and made an honest, fun-loving clip that really breathes life and context into the lyrics.

One of my favorite things about this video is that my friends and my dog got to be a part of it. On set, it made for a genuine and positive dynamic, which really helped everyone to feel comfortable and get in the zone. The scene with the inflatable pool in the kitchen was so much fun to shoot. When else do you get to soak in a kiddie pool filled with fruits and friends!? It was so awesome to be surrounded by people who were invested in the project and willing to put in long days to get the right shot. Here’s to the whole team.”

Peep the Full-length video below and stream the track on Beckett’s Soundcloud below.

The team described “Butterflies,” by Beckett as a cross over. A contemporary sound with retro elements, blending digital and analog tones to a high standard that has yet to be challenged.”
