Vasilis Loizides Fall/Winter 2018

Vasilis Loizides presented his Fall/Winter 2018 collection in the forms of a lookbook shot by Thomas McCarty and styled by Ian Milan.
For his second season, Vasilis Loizides places his Fall/Winter 2018 collection in the world of 1980’s Miami crime noir cinema. Playing with the phrase “crocodile tears”, the collection explores the relationship between artifice and public performance.
Prints, embroidery, and embellishment hallmark Vasilis’ designs. This season, the collection illustrated the volatility of ulterior motives through crocodile prints and muscle embroidery. Combined with sheer ribbons, dripping beads, and flowing silks, the garments exude a murky vulnerability lying beneath the surface.
