We once thought tours was the thing of the past, Walking around museums was meant to be done alone and expected always to look like you’re in deep thought, but on our visit to Florence, we had the pleasure of CIAOFLORENCE taking us on one of their tours of the incredible Uffizi Gallery.
If you’re not aware the Uffizi is one of the most important Italian museums not just because of the buildings ancient history but the Art it now holds from Giotto, Michelangelo to Leonardo da Vinci. We were walked around by Laura who we met at the Gallery and then walked us through some of the most important art pieces the Uffizi holds. Don’t worry, if you have a question outside whats being shown, ask. Laura was able to answer some of the random history questions we had not just about concept and Art but also about Florence in general.
The UFFIZI GALLERY GUIDED TOUR allows you to skip the queue and you should know that in order to visit the Uffizi you have to wait in long queues even when you book. It costs around €38/£32 per person and can be booked in a group in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian of course.
There is no doubt we are Tour converts and the hour with Laura just didn’t seem long enough.
