Whilst we all gear up for the holidays and potentially stop completely the team at Represent Clothing showcases another seasonal offering this time in the forms of a campaign in collaboration with British heritage sports label Admiral.
Reworking the Admiral heritage flair, the collab sees Leo Mandella aka Gully Guy Leo front the campaign creating a nostalgic nod to the past whilst adding a modern view of traditional British design through a contemporary lens. We catch up with Founders George and Mike on the release available now.

Represent has gone from strength to strength each season, can you let us know how the collaboration came about with Admiral?
We wanted to personalise the feeling of SS19 and focus on our British upbringing and being a Manchester-based brand. We wanted to work with local brands of a completely different calibre. Focusing on heritage and classic designs from the sportswear label Admiral was perfect for our story so we approached the management team and our collaboration got moving quickly. We have built a great relationship with the owner and have a lot more in the pipeline.
Taking sportswear to streetwear is no easy task, can you let us know where the design process began?
It began by looking into the archive of Admiral’s previous classic designs. The hourglass silhouette stood out to us and by chance, it was originally a Manchester United training tracksuit so we were compelled to modernise and re-create that design. We think the wide tape running down the track top and track pant seam looks a lot different from what brands are doing at the moment.
You’ve tapped Gully Guy Leo as the face of Represent, what was the thought process behind this?
Going back to that British heritage aspect we have and alongside the sportswear take on this capsule, we wanted to pick a face that was British, young, and of a sportswear and fashion influence.
Will it be the England football kit next?
We have a few classic designs we’re working with Admiral right now for our AW18 show. One of which might be the England tracksuit…
