Making fashion is an act of courage and permanent rebellion because fashion always reflects a changing world, and this change can both inspire the creation of some and condition the expression of others. With the globalization of fashion and the growth of the industry, fashion has gone from being a mere artistic metier to becoming a form of world collective language. Nowadays fashion reaches everyone, we can all be influencers, and therefore the biggest challenge is to work the individual signature, the brand. But the legacy will be both what is produced in the course of a career, and the pathway left for the new generations. This is the role of SANGUE NOVO, the platform for promoting new talents and emerging values.
MODALISBOA INSIGHT will present the final phase of the SANGUE NOVO contest, on the 8th of March at 6 pm, where the six finalists, Archie Dickens, Carolina Raquel, Federico Protto, Opiar (Artur Dias), Rita Carvalho and The Co.Re (Inês Coelho and Rachel Regent) present their new winter 2019/2020 collections.
The winner of the ModaLisboa award for Best National Designer will receive a 5000 euros scholarship and will have the opportunity to attend a Master in Fashion Design at Polimoda in Florence.
