For MISBHV’s latest collection for Autumn/Winter 2019, the design duo traveled back to the 1960s and 1990s – drawing inspiration from two important events for European counter-culture: The 14 Hour Technicolor Dream and Megatripolis.
In the collection, M I S B H V references the world of sport with opalescent Italian nylons and elements of ice-skating clothing, but also folk footsteps such as traditional Polish lace and American hats. The projects created in partnership with Sławomir Pawszak, a painter represented by the BWA Gallery in Warsaw, was also featured within the show. Upcycled leather products like jackets and trousers have been revived in the artist’s Warsaw studio with modern tribal paintings, which bridge the virgin energy of primitive tribes and retrofuturistic codes of the 80s.
