Introducing Irina Gusakova AW 2018 collection

Based between Russia and the UK, the eponymous label was created by Irina Gusakova after completing a Masters Course in Fashion and Textiles in Glasgow School of Art and working for a number of independent fashion designers in London.

The sophomore Fall-Winter 2018 collection is inspired by car racing and personal family stories around it. Racing graphics get translated into the fabrication techniques such as patchworking and shirring and further emphasised by reflective elements and padding details.

The use of fabric combinations like mesh and velvet, glossy silk satin against the matte wool, honeycomb waffle knit with smooth polyester panels add an element of enhanced tactility to the sportswear-inspired silhouettes.
