Human.Form.Structure @ A-COLD-WALL* SS19

Creative Director and designer Samuel Ross @ A-COLD-WALL* unveiled his Spring/Summer 2019 collection entitled “Human.Form.Structure” during London Fashion Week Men’s.

Of the experience and the inspiration Samuel Ross says:

“The exposure of the dense, but skeletal frame represents the removal of weight, cement, and material – imposing weight, forces and reactionary behaviors/emotions (tension, fear, blindness). These ideas broken down are represented by the dancers physically destroying the walls. An exposed battered body represents a removal of these ideas through freedom of sight, clarity, and choice.

The body is no longer constrained to darkness and able to discover its own form. This reflects one’s journey to regain control over sociographic preconceived behavior patterns, which in turn are often led by glass and geographic instances (social housing – post WW2 brutalist housing) represented through primary structures shown on runway.”
