École de Pensée unveiled their Autumn/Winter 2018 runway Lookbook.
“In the early 20th century, British alpinists were taking part in the first attempt to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Modestly equipped, their uniform was then taking advantage of the inherent properties of the richest natural materials and betting on clever layering. This collection revisits traditional tailoring by drawing inspiration from these explorers’ uniform; of its highly functional aspect and its unshakeable elegant nature. It deconstructs traditionally structured pieces, reworks menswear classics and plays with mineral tones and earthy hues. By working with the finest Scottish knitting factories for its knits and traditional French ateliers for its tailored pieces, École de Pensée adds a human and singular touch to its pieces, evoking fashion of the times gone by.”
