Samuel Ross presented another helping of A-COLD-WALL* for AW18 during London Fashion Week Men’s.
AW18 Runway collection is actualised to bridge both uses of materials into one centralised viewpoint, focusing objective and isolated thinking and interpretation of arterial, structure and shape often experienced through the artist’s mind into that of a Runway gallery. Such a narrative is communicated through garment constructions reminiscent of silhouettes and shapes affiliated with construction and workwear – the interlacing thread between the two class-defined practices is the abstraction of shape and utilisation of materials such as steel, iron, and plastics.
The result is a culmination of relatable abstractions, ingeniously paired with Avant Garde and ready-to-wear garments that span a vast array of recognisable material choices synonymous with the A-COLD-WALL* story.
