CAPE FLORA KINGDOM ft Nicholas Coutts

In an Exclusive for FGUK Magazine featuring Jeremy Pelser & Nicholas Stanley, South African based designer and stylist Nicholas Coutts team up with photographer Jacobus Snyman as we look closer at the New seasonal collection in a brand story Titled “Cape Flora Kingdom”.

“My A/W 2019 collection is called ‘Cape Flora Kingdom’ and is inspired by the Cape floral kingdom, particularly the national flowers of South Africa – the Protea and Disa. Incorporating florals and bright colours for winter exudes a fresh and optimistic outlook. Working with fabrics and textures that are modern yet used in a traditional way through knits and woven garments to create a sophisticated sensibility.

Fabrics include a fusion of wool, corduroy, mohair, lurex, houndstooth, mesh and cotton. Red, green and yellow dominates the range.” – Nicholas Coutts

Grooming thanks to Inga Hewett
