2026: Somerset House London

Words by Marvin Maddix

We’re nothing but excited for what 2026 holds for fashion and gender blurring if it’s anything like this. Photographer and stylist duo Kristin-Lee Moolman and IB Kamara capture some of young Africa in it’s new wave ideaology behind “What is being masculine?, questioning future sartorials of menswear, sexuality and the black African body.

When talking to IB dyas before the opening about the creative process he expresses “It was a fun process. The idea of making out of little pushed us to create anything we laid our hands on”

The duo present 2026 which opens tomorrow @ somerset House which is set to feature some of their work shot over a few months in Johannesburg,  South Africa. Selected by Somerset House curator Shonagh Marshall as part of a group show Utopian Voices Here & Now the exibition will run from July 05 to August 29th.
